Get Ready For The Most Exciting Dodge Vehicle Ever Made

While it’s safe to say that the seventh generation of the Dodge Charger has been a massive success and has been beloved by many for its raw power and fierce look, it is, unfortunately, coming to an end in 2024. However, we have certainly not seen the end of the Dodge Charger, and generation eight looks to be the most exciting iteration of the Dodge Charger since the speedster’s record-breaking second-generation models. In fact, the car will be the perfect blend of the future and the past, with looks that are reminiscent of the Dodge Chargers of old, but with a modern twist and exciting new powertrains. If you’re like the team at Preston Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Wilmington and you’ve fallen in love with the Dodge Charger, you can probably guess the name of the highly anticipated 2024 model — it’s the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT®! And guess what? It’s electric.

The Fastest Charger Yet

This new battery-electric vehicle (BEV) is simply incredible. The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® BEV may still be in its concept phase, but Dodge has been very open about the vehicle and has already revealed a stunning prototype to the public on day three of Dodge Speed Week. It is finally happening. The BEV Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® is recapturing the thrill and power that set the world on fire in 1970 when the Dodge Charger became the first car to ever break 200 MPH on a professional racetrack. Currently, the only Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® BEV specs that have been revealed are the horsepower ratings for the lower two trims, which max out at 455 horsepower and 590 horsepower. However, they have revealed that the highest trim, the AWD, 800-Volt BEV Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® Banshee, will outperform a fully suited-up 2023 Dodge Charger SRT® Hellcat Redeye in every way. To put that into perspective, that means the BEV Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® Banshee will have more than 807 horsepower and 707 lb.-ft. of torque, be able to go from 0-60 MPH in under 3.5 seconds, and have a top speed of well over 200 MPH.

A New Type of Muscle

Here’s the most shocking aspect: the interior technology. Being a BEV, the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® is obviously going to be extremely advanced, and that fact extends itself to the cabin. It’s rare for American muscle cars to be found with a luxurious interior, because the focus is typically pure power. That’s where the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® BEV sets itself apart. Dodge made sure to multitask when building their first ever Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® BEV and included interior features like a 12.3-inch center screen (the largest among all Dodge vehicles), an 8×3-inch head-up display, and ambient Attitude Adjustment Lighting™. That’s just scratching the surface. For example, we didn’t even mention the panoramic glass roof or the 16-inch instrument cluster.

Bitter Sweet… But Mainly Sweet

This is the car to get excited for. It will be sad to say goodbye to generation seven, but these advancements are just around the corner and this BEV Dodge Charger Daytona SRT® will be, by far, the most impressive Dodge ever. And besides, you can always purchase a used gen-seven Dodge Charger at Preston CDJR of Wilmington.
