Ready to Make Waves

We’re excited to announce Jeep’s triumphant beach return. Like anything, Jeep goes big. In the final week of April, Jeep Beach Week, otherwise known as one of the biggest Jeep charity events of the year, will take place along with the release of their favored sea-side models. These special edition models will include 500 units of the Jeep Wrangler High Tide to be released. These exclusive models will feature unique Jeep Beach decals, a shifter medallion, embroidered leather seats, standard body-color fenders, and a swing gold plaque. The Jeep Wrangler High Tide, which is based on the Sport S model, will be ready to tackle the sandy terrain with the X-Treme Recon Package, which includes features like 35-inch BF Goodrich T/A KO2 tires, a Sunrider Fliptop, rock rails, and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. Both Jeep Wrangler High Tide and limited Jeep Beach editions will be offered in several exterior colors like Hydro Blue, Sting Gray, Punk’n, Bright White, High Velocity, and Black.

Style Rediscovered

The Wagoneer S was granted its name for a reason. The “S” stands for Speed, Striking, and Sexy. The name is subject to change prior to the release, but for the moment, “S” seems to be the most accurate way to summarize everything the new electric Wagoneer has to offer. The new design is sleek and completely reinvented. There will be some recognizable features, like the reimagined grille with seven vertical elements, but for the most part, the electric Wagoneer S will sport a body that isn’t like anything we’ve ever seen from the Stallantis brand. The body perfectly balances the thin line of harmony found between an undeniably attractive build and an aerodynamic design by boasting new features, like the hovering roof spoiler.

Never Stop

When it comes to power, the Wagoneer S won’t fall short. The Wagoneer S is set to have the speed to go from 0-60 MPH in approximately 3.5 seconds. To achieve this, the all-electric Wagoneer S motor will come ready with up to 600 horsepower. Moreover, the Wagoneer S is built to keep going. The powertrain is expected to achieve a range of around 400 miles on a single charge, which will pair excellently with the undisclosed, but highly anticipated off-road 4×4 systems.

An Electrifying Future

Jeep is looking to lead the charge in all-electric, all-terrain dominance. We all know about the Jeep Wrangler 4xe and the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe electric hybrid models that have made waves around the nation, but there hasn’t been an all-electric Jeep… until now! While information is very limited, Jeep revealed at the Paris Motor Show this past October that they will be introducing four fully-electric SUVs to their roster and have plans to eliminate carbon emissions from their entire lineup. With news like this, our crew at Preston Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Wilmington is ecstatic and can’t wait to see these new Jeeps on the lot.

The Plan

By 2025, Jeep plans to only release fully electric and electric-hybrid models in North America and Europe, with the hope that by 2030, all Jeeps in production will be fully electric. The goal is that by 2030, 50% of all North American Jeep sales and 100% of all European Jeep sales will be fully electric models. The news is not surprising to anyone who has kept up with Jeep and Stellantis as a whole, as models like the 4xe Jeeps, the Dodge Hornet, and future vehicles, like the fully-electric 2024 Dodge Charger, have caught the attention of drivers around the nation. If you’re wondering, “Does Jeep have a fully electric vehicle?” The answer is currently no. However, that will soon change with the release of the Jeep Recon in North America, the Jeep Avenger in Europe, and the reimagined Wagoneer S which is set for a global release.

Here’s what we know about each of these new electric Jeeps:

Jeep Recon

This Jeep will feature trail-rated capability and similar to the Jeep Wrangler, will have all-terrain systems like Selec-Terrain traction management. The Jeep Recon will also feature removable tops, doors, and glass. Reservations for this fully electric BEV Jeep SUV will open in early 2023, while production will begin in 2024.

Jeep Avenger

The targeted battery range of the Jeep Avenger is approximately 400 kilometers and the off-road capability will be catered to the European market. Production is already underway and these new fully electric Jeep SUV models are expected to be released in early 2023.

Wagoneer S

The class and luxury we expect from Wagoneer vehicles will certainly impress, as well as the new aerodynamic design and powertrain capabilities that will be seen in the Wagoneer S. Off-road prowess and top-tier motor performance will come standard in the Wagoneer S. The SUV will have a targeted range of 400 miles, 600 horsepower, and the ability to go from 0-60 MPH in a mere 3.5 seconds. Like the Jeep Recon, reservations will open in early 2023, and production will begin in 2024.

For years, people have been asking, “When will there be an electric Jeep Wrangler?” Well, we finally have our answer! Soon to be released, Jeep will be rolling out the all-new, all-electric 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV with five trim levels: the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Sport, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Freedom, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Sahara, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Rubicon, and the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Magneto. While the Jeep Wrangler has been an American staple for over 30 years and recently introduced the Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid model, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV will be the first Jeep of its kind and will set in motion a new era for Jeep. What’s in the Works?

Here’s what we currently know about the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV: it’s AWESOME. While the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV’s interior is expected to be visually similar to the current Jeep JL-series Wrangler, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV will likely feature new technology, such as a biometric recognition system that will possibly be able to differentiate physical features of the vehicle’s owner using features such as facial recognition or fingerprint scanning, to confirm the identity of the driver and lock/unlock the vehicle or start the Jeep’s engine. There may even be four chassis-mounted battery pack configurations and a feature that allows two 2024 Jeep Wrangler EVs to recharge one another. In 2021, when Stellantis previewed their 2024 Jeep Wrangler EV Magneto prototype, the powertrain was said to be capable of 285 horsepower and the cabin would sport all of the classic Jeep features, like removable doors and a removable top. However, until production is complete, information will remain fluid.
